Mr. Sudhir Kumar

Dr. Sudhir Kumar of Patna is a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine. He is Medical Director at Ramkrishna Welfare Hospital and Advanced ICU Centre, a superspecialist centre for chest disease and respiratory critical care.

After obtaining the MBBS and MD degrees, Dr. Sudhir Kumar went on to complete the DNB examination from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and also obtained the DM superspeciality degree from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar was formerly Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Chest Diseases at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna. He was also associated with the Institute of Medical Science at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar has produced an educational CD relating to awareness and prevention of chest diseases. The Ramkrishna Welfare Hospital partners with NGOs and other voluntary organisations to ensure widespread and effective implementation of its community health services. Public awareness and training of paramedics and volunteers in schools, colleges, banks, public offices, etc, is an integral part of the hospital’s mission towards fostering a healthy society. The hospital is well equipped for critical care of acutely ill patients in the ICU, and deploys portable ventilator equipment in order to transport such patients safely and quickly for intensive medical care.
